Ah, I take it as a very good sign, my friend, that things that matter are keeping you from your beloved friends and associates here at the Forum, and thus, though pained by your absence, I take comfort in that inference. On the other hand, if you are just fiddling about, wasting your time, well--I guess I am okay with that too since I have hardly been here waiting for you as regularly as I might have been.

It's too warm and beautiful hereabouts, even for a broken down old biologist like me, to keep from being out as much as possible. At least as often as the keepers will allow.

"Field trips my boy, field trips". That was a great quote you made awhile back. I could hear a Foghorn Leghorn voice with that one. Whenever you mention biology I'm reminded of my zoology prof. at Fullerton College in '86. He always wore a GD tour shirt on lab Fridays. You remind me of him. Good memories. I know this is facebooky, hope you don't mind, just thought Id mention it.
I saw you mentioned an upcoming knee surgury, best of health and recovery Will.

Go Titans!

Kind words; always recall a fellow b-ball player at Cal that was from SoCal, and he was rooting for you all in 78 when you almost went all the way...even brought me a tshirt the next year, though I hardly knew him...we played ball a few times, and it's no doubt the explanation for my sad state at this point. Trying to hold off another six months to see if some injections allow me to get a couple of yrs more before replacement. Thanks again.

Oh, and yeah--the kids always tolerate my 60s references, and allusions to the DEAD on field trips. I always ask the ones I get to know if they recognize mt girl and Jerry from the photo on my lab door, but no one does.

I never did ask the prof. about his concert days. Wish I had. He had posters in his office too. I was just too young and intimidated. That was a very stressful course, moreso for him than us Im sure. For some reason it was decided to combine 2 semesters of curriculum into one. A long-haired Deadhead adult was a very rare bird in those days and in that area. I bet he was a very cool fella on a personal level.

Yup, round-ball sure can play havoc on the knees. Cross-country and track in my case. I'm starting to feel the mileage in the pins these days. Good luck with the shots, they do wonders those days. I had one in the neck a year ago and it worked very well.

Brother Tell... I made a brilliant discovery here just recently for those of us who may be somewhat challenged in the spelling dept... Just right click on the underlined word and it will show the correct spelling & fix it! Go figger huh? Uh oh, no excuses now, should of kept my trap shut!!!

Beautiful weather here in SD today too... I'm loving it! Weatherman yesterday said it's going to be HOT!!! (80-85) inland... Now I remember this time of year in Phoenix it still has to get into the 90's to be "unseasonably warm"... I do miss Tempe, but I ain't gonna miss the heat!!!

Perhaps, but the fat man certainly is. GRHS

1987 is an excellent year but many songs were kept short, clean and precise. Well, as precise as the GD could muster.
A Truckin' without an outro jam just doesn't do it for me.

Senor Diablo, you know what I like! What a wonderful, died and gone to heaven line up that is, and basically not an ego in sight. Wonderful to see Basher and Costello playing together again. I'm a big fan of Larry Campbell and very much regret the fact that Phil abandoned the Campbell/Greene incarnation of the Friends for the Further gravy train.

Here's a couple for you. I think we might have shared the second one before, but surely worth another look (for the glancing GD relevance Hornsby is present)

Thanks. We have, but if turns on one lone deadhead to the majesty that is RT, then job well done. Word is that he is doing mini-tour now (next week is GAMH - hope to go) but will do full blown US tour next fall with UK/Europe to follow in 2011. It's so great how he keeps on going STRONG and continuing to deliver material that is as fresh and as inspired as what came in the past.
